In the heart of the Small Sila in Catanzaro, near Lake Passante in the municipality of Taverna, lies the Sila Science Park, an interactive museum dedicated to the discovery of natural elements.
The park is centered around the theme of the four natural elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Air, which is why it is also known by their acronym, F.A.T.A.
Sila Science Park is an innovative space for scientific and environmental culture, primarily aimed at schools and families with young children, but it remains a great attraction for all other visitors as well.
The indoor structure is spread over two floors, the first dedicated to water and air, the second to earth and fire. It features a rich multimedia, three-dimensional, and immersive system, with 5D rooms.
Outside, it welcomes both young and old visitors with an experiential park, equipped with various exhibitions and attractions.
Within the park's territory, there is also a nature area with a pond for sport fishing, an area dedicated to a pet therapy and hippotherapy farm, a sports field, and numerous nature trails and paths dedicated to cycling and hiking.
