The Pollino Eco-Museum "Sandro Berardone" is housed within the Monumental Complex of Santa Maria della Consolazione in the municipality of Rotonda, in the province of Potenza in Basilicata, and is the headquarters of the Pollino National Park.
Inside, you will find the natural history of the Pollino Park, from fauna to flora, as well as the villages within the park's boundaries and their traditions. One particular tradition narrated within the museum is the feast of Sant'Antonio or the tree festival, an ancient arboreal rite present in various communities. The one in Rotonda is narrated in the documentary "Evviva Sant'Antonio!" created by Francesco Aiello and Andrea Belcastro for the production company "Epos Film."
The exhibition path, ideal for visitors of all ages, allows for an immersive experience thanks to virtual supports such as interactive monitors that reproduce documentary films, images, 3D graphic reconstructions, and also allow visitors to test their knowledge of the natural heritage of the Park.
The experience does not exhaust the desire for knowledge but rather fuels it, encouraging visitors to discover and explore the places visited only virtually.
