The Biodiversity Museum is hosted by the Visitor Center in the Cupone area of the Sila National Park in Calabria. The museum features a vast collection of various wildlife species from across Italy, the result of decades of scientific research.

On display are almost all Italian mammals; around 22,000 insects from central and southern Italy; all nocturnal butterflies captured in southern Italy over the last 60 years, including some particularly venomous specimens.

The museum is located within the Visitor Center area in Cupone of the Sila National Park, a true environmental education center with nature trails, wildlife observatories, and a geological garden.

Adjacent to the Center is a picnic area that attracts thousands of hikers and visitors every year, in every season. It is situated along the shores of Lake Cecita, one of the favorite spots for many to spend a day in nature.
